7000 Assistant Professors to be appointed in Bihar by March

By March next year, assistant professors will be appointed in all the universities of Bihar. The education department has fixed this target after meeting with the registrants of these universities on Wednesday. For this, the application process will start from December through University Service Commission. So far, less than two thousand vacancies have been received, while about seven thousand posts are vacant in all universities.

The department has directed to send vacancies to 15 of Magadha, Pataliputra, BRA, LN Mithila, KSDS and Mazharul Haq University. According to the vacancies received so far, 556 posts are vacant in Veer Kunwar Singh University, 330 in Purnia University, 197 in Tilakamanjhi University Bhagalpur, 266 in Munger University, 301 in BN Mandal University and 151 posts in Patna University.

On behalf of the Education Department, it was said that the appointment process for the vacant posts of Assistant Professors from Bihar State University Service Commission will start soon. For this, the department ordered to provide details of vacancies of teachers within a week to the registrants of the six universities who have not submitted the list of vacancies even after giving instructions several times.

Magadh University (Bodh Gaya), LN Mishra Mithila University (Darbhanga), Veer Kunwar Singh University (Ara), Jayaprakash University (Chapra), Purnia University and Munger University have not yet provided the vacant posts of Assistant Professors to the University Services Commission. .

The meeting reviewed the progress of execution of cases related to Lok Adalat in all universities and implementation of Kanya Utthan Yojana. Higher education director Rekha Kumari, deputy directors Ajit Kumar, Deepak Kumar Singh and Rajesh Kumar Singh and other officials were present.

Teachers-employees of universities will get new pay scale

Teachers and employees of universities of Bihar will get the seventh revised pay scale from this month (November). For this, the education department has ordered all the universities to provide details of the amount within a week so that the full amount of the new pay scale is released by 20 November. In this regard, a high-level meeting was held on Wednesday with the registrants of all universities in the late Madan Mohan Jha Auditorium of the Education Department.

 

8 thousand teachers and 15 thousand workers will get benefit

About 8 thousand teachers and 15 thousand employees in all universities will get benefit from the payment of new pay scale from November by the Education Department. According to the notification issued by the state government on 6 March 2019, with the seventh pay scale coming into effect, the salary has increased by 15 to 18 percent.

However, the implementation of the seventh pay scale has been delayed by eight months and till now only the sixth pay scale was being given to the teachers and personnel. Only Patna University has paid salaries to teachers and staff since November under the seventh pay scale.
