All homeless people of Bihar will get permanent Makan till 2022- Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar
Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar said in the assembly on Wednesday that all the poor homeless families of the state will be provided accommodation till 2022. Under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, there is a target to construct eight lakh houses in the current financial year. He was presenting the reply of the government in the General Debate on the budget of 15566.69 crore of Rural Development Department in the House. Shravan Kumar said that according to the prepared list, housing for about 20 lakh homeless families is to be formed. This target will be completed by 2022. Apart from this, 32.86 lakh applications have been received for the purpose of passing the Gram Panchayats general meeting. The request has been received by the Central Government for their acceptance. He told the House that the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme has been started for the reconstruction of Indira Houses, built before January 1, 1996. 1.2 lakhs will be given for the reconstruction of each house. The poor who do not have the land to make the housing, they are being given the land for purchase of 60 thousand rupees under the Chief Minister’s Vast Shed Purchase Assistance Scheme. So far the funds have been made available to 73 families, while the amount of 1,052 people will soon go into the account.
Referring to MNREGA, he said that this year aims to create 160 million human days. Against this goal, 4.40 million human days have been created against this goal. Water conservation schemes are also being run through MNREGA. Regarding the livelihood, 8.52 lakh self-help groups have been formed. Through them women are being made self-reliant. So far, 83 billion and four crore rupees have been distributed between 8.21 lakh groups. For the successful operation of financial work from banks, 556 Bank Sakhi has been trained.
