Using a student credit card, brokers got admission to 4100 students of Bihar in FAKE University
The Bihar government’s much-informed ambitious student credit card scheme has been made by the commission agents (brokers) of the university or other educational institutions. The students who received education loans up to Rs 4 lakh from this card were trapped and admitted in universities or institutes where there is no fixed standard infrastructure, nor the transparency process of admission. Admission was done in excess number of seats.
In the investigation, there are about 4100 students who have been caught in the clutches of brokers by taking loan from the government. The government gave the university a sum of Rs. 3 crores in the name of these students. But when the matter is open, the government has stopped the next installment of these students’ fees. In this way the future of these 4100 students has been hanging in the balance.
These students will no longer get the benefit of the scheme, the government has stopped the next installment
More than 700 students applied for loan for admission in Jagannath University (Jaipur) of Rajasthan.
The officers of the State Education Finance Corporation suspected the gathering of so many students towards a university. Then the Education Department examined it. The investigation committee went to the respective institutions of Rajasthan. Look at the infrastructure, check the nomination process. The investigating team expressed dissatisfaction over the two issues. Regarding the nomination process- It is not completely transparent. Admissions made here are recommended to not give the benefit of the scheme to the students.
