MLA Anant Singh sent to judicial custody till 30 August, AK-47 rifle found from home

In the AK-47 case, the MLA Anant Singh was brought to Patna by Patna Police from Delhi on Sunday. Anant Singh was taken to floods amid tight security. He was produced in the court of judicial magistrate Pankaj Kumar Tiwari in the flood court. Where the court sent him to judicial custody till 30 August. Anant Singh was brought to Patna by the flood. Here he will be kept in Beur Jail. In view of this, security has been tightened outside the Beur jail.

Patna police had applied to the court to take Anant Singh on remand. Due to lack of regular court, the application could not be heard. Somavar will again plead in court to take Patna Police on remand.

Surrender done in Delhi

Earlier on Friday, Anant Singh surrendered at Saket Court in Delhi. Recently, during the police raids, an AK 47, two grenades and bullets were found from his house. After this, on August 17, the police went to his house to arrest Anant Singh, but he escaped by dodging the police.

Anant Singh first accused of UAP Act
The central government has amended the UAP Act preventing illegal activities. It was approved by Parliament last month. Anant Singh has become the first accused under this law after the amendment. A case was registered against him at the flood station under Section 13 of UAPA, Explosives Act and Section 414, 120 B of IPC.

Arrested for murder in 2015
Anant Singh was arrested in June 2015 in connection with the kidnapping case registered at Bihta police station. The police then found blood stained clothes and restricted weapons from his house. Police also recovered 6 blank magazines of INSAS rifles and bulletproof jackets.
